Music Coupons Identify Older Inventory

Cook Loyalty CouponOne thing is certain, inventory containing Buy-5-Get-1-Free Loyalty Coupons from David C. Cook are at least 18 months old, the program having expired at the end of April, 2015.

We decided to play this to advantage this month, and have another plan in mind for that product for September. In the meantime, here’s what we came up with:

Maybe I’m a bit thick: but it isn’t clear to me if the 5th CD has to have a sticker as well and whether the lowest price is the lowest of the 4 or all 5. If my guess is right, the following would be clearer: “Then pick one more (with or without a coupon). Your FREE one is the lowest-priced of the 5.”

It might also be worth amending the final note to read: “Applies only to CDs bearing coupon stickers. Stickers you still have from previous purchases are no longer valid.” Otherwise some folk might end up looking for other kinds of stickers, or may think that they can come back later with coupons from the CDs they have just purchased.

We run a deal like this each and every day in our book department, so most of our customers know the drill, and the average Christian bookstore customer doesn’t need things written in legalese. The free is the lowest of all five, and yes it can be with or without a coupon.

The Facebook posting and newsletter posting has an introduction which you didn’t see. It’s a one-time purchase thing, so it doesn’t matter that they leave with coupons on product, as they are worthless. It’s just to indicate older inventory.
