Christian Retailing Reporting that STL May Be Liquidating

An unnamed source told Christian Retailing today that Send The Light (STL) Distribution will be liquidating and closing. The process is to begin in the next 90 days. The source also indicated that STL notified its employees of the situation so they could find other employment.

UPDATE: 24 Hours later, nothing new on this front, though a comment at Facebook suggests that CR may have jumped the gun on this announcement. I went fishing today for myself, but no one at STL was talking.

wow and already a call from Ingram wondering if there are any wholesale companies I think they should get into touch with as I wont be able to order them from STL anymore.

…Which of course won’t work for my store since Ingram removed my trade discount for failing to reach $5K in purchases last year.

At this point, unless the Anchor thing happens quickly, we’re done with publishers who don’t have representation in Canada.

You must do good business with them to merit a phone call like that.

lol I wouldnt think it was that much but for me the shipping times with ingram for special orders is just so much faster. I am in BC and an order from cook or fdi takes 5-6 business days, with Ingram its 3 and shipping is way less.
