When You Can’t Beat the Price, the Speed of Delivery, or Both; Offer Great Service
Even though our store does web price matching, sometimes we can’t beat the price, and we certainly can’t have the book at the customer’s door within 24 hours. However, one thing we can give is great service.
When an order faces a hiccup on the supply end, we try to double our service efforts, and part of that is calling the customer or emailing them with an update on their order’s status. We try to explain where we’ve hit the delay and what our new projection is on when they can expect their book. Generally, we find customers appreciate knowing we are tracking their order and that we are as concerned as they are with getting it in a timely manner.
