In Spring 2013, the company announced it was winding down its B&H Fiction imprint — only publishing novels that were connected to other existing brands — and would focus its energies on non-fiction titles.

LifeWay is established as a non-profit, and receives no direct funding from the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) but with historical ties, and revenue directed to SBC missions projects, the company is seen as an arm of the SBC, a denomination that has seen seven straight years of decline.
