How to do a Book Search at Send The Light’s Website

Looking up titles at Send the Light’s website is easy if you follow these four steps:

  1. Type the title or author into the CBD site
  2. Copy the ISBN
  3. Go to the Send the Light search field
  4. Paste the ISBN

Works every time!  Last night we were looking up a new book by C. Michael Patton, who we read regularly at the Parchment and Pen website. The book is, Now That I’m A Christian, and new-believer resources are hard to find, so we’re anxious to start carrying this title.

But many of the new releases at Send the Light — especially audio, for some reason — have nothing entered in the author field, and the sight couldn’t navigate the apostrophe in the word I’m.

It does get tiresome.

CBD is my biggest competition for customers by far with the nearest Christian Bookstore from me is 4 hours away. But the fact is I use there website as part of my store as more than just about any other site. someone wants to hear a CD I dont have a demo of? Cooks site might give a demo of 2 or 3 songs on some albums but I know CBD will have a full sample. Looking for a random book with obscure info from the customer? CBD has such a good program in its search that it brings up items that are similar to what you are looking for and I have found this amazingly helpful. Its one of those love hate relationships.
