To see the emphasis placed on VBS curricula by publishers, you would be justified in concluding that from a financial standpoint, there’s gold in them there hills. Some companies, like Group and Gospel Light, offer two or three different themes, essentially competing against themselves for local church VBS dollars. With so much ancillary product available, VBS is the most expensive week — both in total and on a per-student basis — in the Christian Education year.
