Title Fuses World War I Interest With Amish Storyline
Having just watched a two-hour special about the Amish, I was intrigued with this book trailer about a young Amish man who takes an interest in flying in 1917, before his Amish community has officially ruled on that particular technology. I thought it interesting that an author would fuse two genres, the Great War and the typical Amish love-interest narrative. Here’s the book trailer for The Wings of Morning by Murray Pura, already released, followed by the publisher marketing from Harvest House.
1917: Jude Whetstone and Lyyndaya Kurtz, whose families are converts to the Amish faith, are slowly falling in love. Jude has also fallen in love with flying, and ends up enlisting. Lyyndaya’s despair deepens at the reports that Jude has been shot down in France. In her grief, she turns to nursing Spanish flu victims. Then Lyyndaya is stunned when an Jude turns up in her ward, but the Amish leadership insist the shunning remain in force. How then can they marry without the blessing of their families? Will happiness elude them forever?

sounds like a wonderful book. I am looking forward to reading this one.
would love to win a copy of your book.
This is a site for Christian retailers. There is no contest. Nobody is going to a win a copy of anything.
The author sent us over here. Said there was a book giveaway. The trailer is fascinating!! If there is a chance to win a copy. I’d love to! Grin!
The author sent me over here from facebook. Very interesting trailer. Love the cover of this book. It’s interesting. I’d love to have my name put in the hat to win a copy of this book! Thanks
As a bookseller, I am huge fan of Harvest House Publishing and have always admired their products.
As a blogger, I have absolutely no relationship with them. They’ve never once sent me a review copy for my primary blog, Thinking Out Loud. (Titles that may be of interest to retailers, which is who this blog is for, are listed regardless of whether or not we get a copy.)
Really, even at Thinking Out Loud, the only publisher we do giveaways with is Zondervan. I review for them, Thomas Nelson, sometimes Tyndale, and independent publishers.
So while I appreciate your tenacity, I don’t have a book to send you! Sorry.
Found his Facebook page. Couple of things; he called it a review, and it isn’t. As for the contest it says, “great review of The WINGS OF MORNING here! – enter the draw at Murray Pura Writing to win a special Memorial Day Edition.”
So I guess you’re looking for a site/blog called Murray Pura Writing.
